About Alison & David Howell

We share a love of photography and are inspired by rural England, and by the natural world. We also own a rural travel company called Foot Trails, taking people out on walking trips (with creature comforts!) and this sees us out and about in the countryside at all times of year. We feel very fortunate to see amazing sights of nature in our everyday lives and enjoy its daily changes.

Based in a converted piggery in rural Wiltshire, we craft fine art prints and greeting cards produced from our original photos, and we also offer walking holidays for guests from around the world.

Here is a little about us both.

Alison - I grew up on a farm in rural Wiltshire, and this is where my love of the countryside began. I love the effect of light in nature, whether sunlight streaming through a spring Bluebell woodland or the way light catches a leaf or a flower. When I take a photograph I don't use filters or affects, my aim is to capture a moment in time in nature.

David - I grew up in the Cotswolds countryside and enjoy taking photographs of nature in our native South West England. Walking puts me in touch with the countryside regularly, and my photographs are usually taken during these walks.
